After Sean O’Malley’s win over Marlon “Chito” Vera at UFC 299 my goal was to capture the intensity and personality of both O’Malley and the sport through a bold, textural style. I leaned into photo manipulation and heavy layering, incorporating newspaper textures and distressed overlays to build a gritty, street-level aesthetic reminiscent of wheat-paste posters and urban graffiti walls.

The pink accents serve as a nod to O’Malley’s signature color, while the collage-like composition reflects the chaos and raw energy of combat sports. This experimental approach let me play with unconventional textures and visual language, creating a piece that feels as defiant and unpolished as the fight game itself.
