This project was a digital illustration created in Photoshop to capture the energy and sharpness of GZA’s song Liquid Swords. I leaned into the Wu-Tang Clan’s iconic black-and-yellow color palette and placed GZA’s logo in the center, framing it with movement and action on all sides. Inspired by the group’s connection to martial arts — and the song’s opening sample from the 1980s film Shogun Assassin — I included a sword-wielding figure, a “lyrical swordsman” meant to represent the sharpness of GZA’s lyrics.

I used a gritty, textured illustration style and a Japanese-inspired border to frame the piece, tying everything together visually and evoking the raw, cinematic quality of the song.
